Making a data request

Under the PDPA you may ask to see, correct, or withdraw consent for the personal data we hold about you.

What you can request

  • Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you and how it has been used.
  • Correction — fix data that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Withdrawal — withdraw consent, or ask to be removed from public genealogy search.

How to make a request

Email the association at phuaclan.sg@gmail.com with your name, your membership number if you have one, and what you would like to access, correct, or withdraw.

How we verify you

To protect your data, we confirm your identity before disclosing or changing any record. We may ask you to verify details we already hold. We will not release another person's data to you.

What to expect

The committee will acknowledge your request and respond within 30 days. If we cannot meet a request — for example, where the law requires us to keep certain records — we will explain why.
